It's That Time of Year Again

Football season is a very exciting time for us. It gives us cheap entertainment every weekend. Our Saturdays consist of going to Braden's game in the morning, watching college ball all day long, going to the ULM home games, and watching LSU!!! Sundays we go to church then come home and get comfortable on our couch again to watch the Saints. It's fun times!!! ULM is kicking off the college season this year. They play Tulsa at home this Thursday(at 6 and it will be broadcasted nationwide on ESPN2.

Scott got his flag football team so he's all fired up for that and he's been having Braden practice every night he's at our house. Last night he was in the yard throwing Braden passes. He would tell him to go out for the pass and he would. Then Easton wanted in on the action. He would just take off running but not turn back around until Scott had already thrown the ball. He's learned what LSU is. If he sees a tiger, something purple and gold, or LSU I will ask him what it says. He'll usually says, "Tiger." Then I'll say, "No, what's it say?" He says, "L-S-U."

3 Year Anniversary

Mon (Aug. 13) marked the three year anniversary for Scott and I. It's amazing how fast time has gone and how much has changed. Since Aug. 13, 2004 I've had 3 different jobs(thankfully I've finally settled down in a career), Scott made a major career change, I got my masters, we moved, we've had 2 kids, and gained 4 nieces and nephews. Hopefully things will be a little less crazy the next few years. The time goes by way to fast as it is. Thank you Scott for 3 great years and I look forward to many more!!!

What Is This World Coming To?

So, Braden informed us a couple weeks ago that his nana bought him a cell phone. I said, "A fake one?" He said, "No, it's real. I will bring it to your house next time I come." Sure enough, he did and it was real. He said, "Let me show you my ring tones." Scott went ahead and programmed our phone numbers in his phone. A few days go by and I have completely forgotten about it but I keep having a missed call from this mysterious number. I finally tried to call it back but it didn't give me a name. So last night Scott asked Braden why he hadn't called us from his cell phone. He said, "I call Lori all the time but she doesn't answer." It dawned on me that he was the mysterious caller. So Scott asked, "Why don't you ever call me?" Braden said, "I never know when you are going to be off work...next time you get off work, call me so I can call you back." Well tonight he called Scott to chat and see what he was up to. Seriously, what is this world coming to?

Special Moments

I had a very "special moment" with Isabelle the other night. She has definately become a little momma's girl. I admit, at times it is tiring because she is perfectly fine with everyone else but I walk in the room and she starts fussing for me. Anyways, it was last Thurs, the day before my first day back at work. The summer flew by and I just wasn't feeling all that excited. As much as I love my job (and the new challenge ahead as head softball coach) I know how much I am going to miss the kids. Well I think Isabelle was right there with me...she did not want to go to sleep. Usually she is very easy, a bottle in the rocker about 8 pm, throw her over my shoulder and she is out. I put her down and we're good til about 3 am. But I think she knew something was up because she drank her bottle then popped her head up at me with this big smile. After fighting her for a few minutes I decided to just go lay with her in the bed. So she's snuggled in my arms just laying there. Every time I would look at her she would just smile. Well then I got a phone call, I talked to my friend for a few minutes and Isabelle was completely still so I thought she has to be asleep. I look down, and I just don't know if words can describe it, but she is just staring at me with the sleepiest eyes, she smiles and lets out an "aaaahhhhh." It seriously just melted my heart because it was just so sweet. And then she went sound asleep.

Family Vacation

We went to Florida back in May. . Yes, it's taken me this long to put it up...it's been a hectic summer. But, I have finished school finally and have my masters. So next summer I will actually be able to enjoy it. Anyway, back to Florida...we went with Scott's family. In our 3 bedroom condo we had 7 adults and 7 kids, ages 6, 5, 3, 2, 1, 7 mo, and 5 mo. It was fun but very tiring. We don't sleep well on the road so it was a little rough. But we all had a great time hanging out at the beach, swimming, the Gulfarium, the play ground and shopping.Easton, Isabelle & Braden
