Helping Hand

I don't know if this will work but we are going to give it a try. There is a great article about Scott's grandma, aka Grandma Red for the the time she has volunteered at a local hospital. She is such a wonderful person!!! The hospital she volunteers at is the same one Easton and Isabelle were born. She spent many hours with me with each one and delivered Isabelle's stocking. We are proud of you Grandma Red!!!

Where have the 5 months gone?

Not loving her jump & go!!! Check out the rolls on her legs. She's a little fatty.

Isabelle is 5 months old...5 months!!!! Seriously, where has the time gone? To say my life has been crazy would be an understatement. But then again, whose life isn't crazy these days? I know I talk about Easton all the time but he is just at such a fun age it's hard not too. But this time its all about Isabelle. She is seriously the sweetest baby. Her face lights up when anyone talks to her or just looks at her. Her laugh is precious...could put a smile on anyones face. 5 months ago I wondered how I would love another child as much as I love Easton. Well let me tell you, its not difficult. Now, I can't imagine my life without her.
She started rolling over March 27...don't know how that date has stuck in my mind for 2 months but it has. She started off slow but now she's all over the place. In fact, the other morning I had her on the rug in our living room. She was fussing but I was in the middle of something so I let her fuss. Well then it turned into a ticked off cry so I figured I better check on her. She had rolled off the rug and onto the concrete floor. I felt terrible!!! No wonder she had been fussing at me.
She loves Easton(and the feeling is finally mutual). Its so funny though because he doesnt quite understand that she can't get up and play. He'll try to pick her up and he'll say "come on." When he comes near her she gets this look on her face like oh no, whats he about to do to me. But she's gotten used to him. She used to cry everytime he barely touched her but now she just smiles away, happy to have her big brother there with her.
It's amazing to me how fast babies learn things. Like holding objects and getting them in their mouth. She is trying to hold her bottle and if you put anything in front of her she's grabbing for it then it goes straight to the mouth.
She has become quite the little talker too!!! I love to just sit in front of her and make a sound and watch how she tries to immitate me...Amazing!!!
She had her first overnight stay the other night. I was sick with the stomach bug and of course Scott was out of town, so she got to stay with Mimi(Scott's mom). It never fails, Scott goes out of town and someone gets sick...every time!!! She's so easy and laid back though that I wasn't worried about leaving her. She did fine of course and so did mom. I slept 8 straight hours!!! It has seriously been months since I slept that long uninterrupted and let me tell you when I woke up I didn't know where I was, what day it was and I couldn't figure out why my alarm was going off. We haven't quite got her sleeping through the night. She'll sleep 8 hours, only problem is she wants to go to bed at 7:00.
