Mr. Mom...Part 2
I guess Scott thought I was picking on him in the last Mr. Mom. That wasn't my intention, I really am impressed that he can handle both of them. So I guess I need to brag on him a little more. When people hear I have 3 kids and work 40 min from home they say man you must have to get up really early to get everybody ready. Well that's not necessarily the case I tell them. I am out of the house before anybody else wakes up. So guess what that means...yep...Scott has the honor of spending that extra hour with the kids in the morning. He gets them dressed, loaded in the car, drops Easton off at day care(which is actually about 5 minutes in the opposite direction), then drops Isabelle off at his moms(for 2 more weeks til she starts day care) then drops Braden off at school by 7:45 so he can get to work by 8...or xc8:15. I'de say that's pretty good.
Nasty
Easton is really talking a lot these days. He'll try to copy anything you say. Well Aunt Taina came to visit a couple weeks ago and kept Isabelle. She taught Easton the word Nasty. I didnt realize he really knew what it meant until tonight. I changed his diaper and told him to go throw it away(this is exciting to him). He picked it up and with a big smile on his face said "Naty"(thats how he says it). I guess he knows what it means. Thanks for the new word Aunt Taina!!! =)
Mr. Mom...hahaha
Life is so chaotic right now to say the least. Here's a quick overview of what I am doing right now...I am currently teaching full time(40 min from home), coaching softball, enrolled in 3 classes at ULM, have a high maintenance 18 month old=) and a beautiful 2 month old. Scott of course works, coaches Braden and will find pretty much any excuse to get out of the house(ex: tonight hes got the boys at the ULM basketball game). The coaching has been non stop for the past 2 years. It started with t-ball then straight to fall soccer then spring soccer back to tball then this fall we added flag football(along with soccer) then straight to basketball and now we are back to soccer. Did I mention he is the HEAD coach of every team...I'm glad he enjoys it and he's great with the kids but sometimes it's a little much. On top of all that he referees in his free time...haha. So I guess the point in telling you all this about the coaching is that this leaves me with the kids...alone...sometimes. Its not fun being out numbered!!! Well I don't think Scott really understood why I would complain about him being gone...that is until last night. I had a softball game about an hour away. When I got in the car I saw I had a missed call from Scott. I called him back and this is how the conversation went:
Scott: Where are you???
Me: Just getting in my car. (I hear both kids fussing in background) How's it going? (With a smile on my face b/c I pretty much new)
Scott: You need to get home. He's(Easton) is being a pain in the butt and she(Isabelle) cries every time I sit down.
Me: Has Easton had a bath? (It was 8:00...just wondering)
Scott: Real funny(he wasn't laughing) How amI supposed to do that when she won't let me put her down.
So I went on to explain how i would do it. Well, when I got home 45 min later he still hadnt had a bath. I knew it was bad when i saw Scott was still in his work clothes. The first thing he always does when he gets home is get out of those clothes in to something more comfortable. So i think my wonderful husband will be a little more understanding when I complain about him being gone a couple nights a week. Don't get me wrong, he has been great. Adjusting to 2 kids(actually 3) has been challenging but he's been a great help. Easton has become his little buddy and even though he's still a mommas boy he loves that he gets to go with daddy much more aften.

WOHS
The Friday before I went back to work I brought Easton and Isabelle out to my school. My students were so cute with them. I teach these kids(plus 2 more who were out) for 3 hours a day. From left to right it's Jerry, Richard, Caleb,Kennie and Becca. They are a great group of kids. They all have such big hearts!!!

Thanks be to Taina
OK...not too sure about all this but I absolutely love reading my sisters blogs and thought it is about time I created one of my own. Who wouldn't like to be able to constantly brag on their kids!!! Today is my 1st day back at work after 7 weeks spent at home on maternity leave.(you see I am spending my time wisely). I give alot of credit to stay at home moms...its not easy. But I would give anything to be able to do it. Coming back to work was not easy but my students really missed me which made me feel good and made it a little better. This morning I was getting ready to leave and Isabelle was sound asleep on the bed. I went over and kissed her and told her how much i was going to miss her. She opened her eyes, smiled and went right back to sleep. I have to say it brought tears to my eyes. I am truly blessed with 2 sweet hearts. I have some new photos that I will try to post tomorrow.
